I’ve been doing the Anachronism Club for ages now already. It’s highly successful. I’m the only member. The Anachronism Club is only allowed one member. Even neckbeard edgelords are relatable to other neckbeard edgelords, when you think about it. Another member of the Anachronism Club would be inherently self-defeating. It would mean two people together, who believe in nothing, who are totally surface level, hanging out like they can connect on any level because they’re in any way in touch with themselves. Unlikely. Just get married and save yourself the trouble of reinventing the wheel with a dumb, pointless club really.
Apparently Noam’s kids ambushed him with financial demands because they were suspicious his second wife was going to come between them and their inheritance. Get off your high horse for one nanosecond and ask yourself if there’s any possibility that might have involved elder abuse at any point. As first person testimony, Noam described it later as ‘one of the worst experiences of his life,’ to have his kids turn on him, presumably without warning and presumably all becoming suspicious and hostile at the same time. They wanted to be paid out.
And they were . . . you know, with, you know, outside help.
Put yourself in Noam’s shoes for one nanosecond, unlike the one opportunistic deadshit I saw on the internet trying to belittle his feelings in response to his kids behaviour (go fuck yourself, you loser). You’re getting on, your kids turn on you with ‘we’re not prepared to wait for you to die to collect your wealth anymore,’ and suddenly you need to find whatever percentage of your net worth they feel like they’re entitled to right now.
Where is the left? Where are people like this fuckhead, who was more than happy to step in with some revolutionary pearl-clutching SOME FUCKING TIME after the photo of Noam and Jeffrey Epstein showed up.
Let me say that again: the photo of Noam on slime’s jet did not appear in the last Epstein drop, but an opportunistic backstabbing fuckweasel made out like it was.
With shitrags like Vijay Prashad by your side for solidarity and mutual aid, just how did Noam Chomsky become prey for a notorious predator in the first place? Is this actually the issue? Did we all find it easy to forget that maybe someone who was aging, had been through a traumatic family rupture AFTER losing a wife, might have been open to manipulation? Was it to the benefit of Jeffrey Epstein to associate himself with Noam Chomsky to try to maintain his own ethical facade? Was Noam’s Epstein association good for certain people who might have had an interest in embarrassing him with it later? Would embarrassing Noam Chomsky before approval-thirsty, middle-class liberals be sure to excite a massive uproar of moral indignation, such as to divert attention away from everything he spent a lifetime exposing? Which is the main reason anyone knows his name in the first place?
Victims of manipulation and exploitation aren’t deserving of blame and exploitation for moral grandstanding. By his own account, Noam had been through enough. It wasn’t enough for the vultures though, apparently (is it ever). We don’t blame people for being in crisis when they’re preyed upon by God cultists looking for souls to harvest. Noam deserves our pity, and after a lifetime of everything he gave so that we know who he is, he deserves our respect, gratitude and thanks.
Is Noam still alive? Do we still have time to say anything?
