Dear WSU,
You should totally give me this job, I couldn’t help but notice how little Paul James knew beyond the end of his own nose when I was being treated to his idea of supervision. I have a teaching qualification in addition to postgraduate history qualifications, and said psycho thug can’t even do pedagogy, let alone history. Other people around the postgrad hall out at Parramatta were like, he prefers hypotheticals to empricism a lot huh. I was like, I’ll say, you should see trying to have a convo about history with that unhinged narcissistic cunt. Mayybe not in those exact words, but that was the upshot.
I don’t have a doctorate but I do have 5000 copies sold of the book I published from my first attempt (Deakin decided to corroborate my findings instead of examining them, but then Springer had to have the manuscript peer reviewed prior to publication anyway).
I have an extensive research background, which I’m continuing to practise:

You seem to go for “pick-me” types, so pick me! Pick me! hahaha. In all seriousness I haven’t had a steady job since you stomped my candidature and my name to save yourselves the trouble of having to be responsible. You gave me a scholarship before professional liars like Paul James got mad someone more competent than he was (not that hard really) were showing up the terminal shortcomings in his shit scholarship.
But then again being too smart for my own good is why that happens in the first place isn’t it, also the reason I get passed over for everything. You don’t want people who are smart and motivated, you want bootlickers who will enable the orthodoxy. That’s what you get too. I have more intelligent and informed conversations with unlettered friends who read and haven’t dumped ethical core in the name of their own personal advancement.
You don’t meet many of those types around the neoliberal academy these days hey!
Oooo ooo pick me! Pick me! Pick me!
Cheers
Ben Debney
